VOILÀP EXPANDS IN THE SMART FACTORY SECTOR AND ACQUIRES STÜRTZ, THE GERMAN MARKET LEADER IN PVC PROCESSING MACHINES

Neustadt (Wied)/Soliera, September 16, 2025 – Voilàp Group, a multinational company based in Italy specializing in the development and production of intelligent systems for industry and cities, today announced the acquisition of the Stürtz Group. Stürtz is a leading manufacturer of automated machinery for PVC processing, headquartered in Neustadt, Germany. With more than 350 employees, the company generates revenues of approximately €65 million and operates international subsidiaries in Canada, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

With this acquisition, Voilàp aims to further strengthen its position as a global leader in high-quality machinery for the window and façade industry, as well as a key player in industrial applications. The integration of Stürtz ideally complements Voilàp’s existing portfolio. The Group already holds a strong worldwide market position with its brands Elumatec, Emmegi, and Tekna in the aluminum processing sector, and Keraglass and Mappi in the glass processing sector. Stürtz’s leadership in PVC processing machinery adds significant expertise to the know-how Voilàp has already developed through the production of Someco machines.

“We see this transaction as a unique opportunity to build an increasingly comprehensive system of intelligent and connected machines for the factories of the future. With Stürtz, we acquire an exceptional competence in automated processes,” said Valter Caiumi, Chairman and CEO of Voilàp Group. “Over the years, we have carried out numerous acquisitions, proving our ability to restructure complex companies, enhance their competitiveness, and ensure long-term growth. This was the case, for example, with Elumatec, a German company we acquired ten years ago, which has since become the world market leader in its sector, working in perfect synergy with the other activities of the Group.”

The acquisition includes the production plant, real estate entity, machinery, intellectual property, brands, software, workforce, order backlog, and inventories. At the same time, Voilàp will acquire the shares of Stürtz’s international subsidiaries in Canada, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. All of Stürtz’s 350+ jobs will be retained in order to safeguard the company’s valuable know-how. Stürtz will continue to operate as a brand and as an independent organization.

Voilàp has built an intelligent ecosystem that spans multiple industries and is structured across four areas:

  • Designing Smart Factories: Intelligent factories with connected machines, big data management, and predictive analytics to optimize performance, reduce downtime, and anticipate customer needs.
  • Implementing Smart Retail: Innovative retail outlets equipped with screens and software to capture and meet customer requirements when purchasing window and door frames.
  • Enabling Smart Advertising: Screen systems and software for indoor and outdoor communication.
  • Delivering Smart Building Solutions: Hardware and software integration of sensors and IoT elements in windows and doors.

The transaction was led by restructuring expert Britta Hübner, Managing Director of Hübner Management. Beceptum International acted as M&A advisor, and the international law firm Linklaters served as legal counsel. Intesa Sanpaolo and Banco BPM supported Voilàp in financing the transaction.
